Baby Be Mine 03:07
Baby, won’t you be my baby? Won’t you come and stay with me? Baby be mine Crazy, you drive me crazy Won’t you come and save me? Baby be mine. Cos you’ve been messin’ with my head And my heart it needs you so Some things are better left unsaid But I’ve got to let you know Wo-oh baby, won’t you be my baby? Won’t you come and stay with me? Baby be mine Crazy, you drive me crazy Won’t you come and save me? Baby be mine Baby, won’t you be my baby? Won’t you come and stay with me? Baby be mine

My mama told me I should stay away from you She said that boys like you would break my heart in two My friends keep warning me That you’re no good for me That I should walk away Before I make a big mistake But I’m all hung up on you, baby All hung up on you, baby I’m All hung up on you I could never leave you My father said that you were bad news from the start He said that boys like you would play little games with my heart My friends keep warning me That I’m too blind to see That I should walk on by Before the day you make me cry But I’m all hung up on you, baby All hung up on you, baby I’m All hung up on you I could never leave you But what can I do? Mmm I’m so in love with you But what can I say? I couldn’t leave you, leave you this way, oh Cos I’m all hung up on you, baby All hung up on you, baby I’m All hung up on you I could never leave you baby All hung up on you, baby I’m All hung up on you I could never leave you

Too Young 03:22
‘Twas only last night he kissed me (While we’d been apart he had missed me) And told me he promised he’d take care of me And right then I knew he loved me And wished on the stars above me That he was the one who’d take care of me But they say that we’re (too young) To know how it feels cos we’re (too young) To know what it means yes we’re (too young) For all of that stuff But what do they know about fallin’ in love? Now he’s asked me to be his bride Forever to be by his side He makes me so happy, I had to agree This secret we’ll keep it together And no matter how strong the weather When we are older, then they will see But for now we’re (too young) Too young for loving (too young) For kissing and hugging (too young) Enough is enough But why can’t they see that we’ve fallen in love? My friends think that it’s so cool When he meets me after school He’s always waiting there for me But they say that we’re (too young) To know how it feels cos we’re (too young) To know what it means yes we’re (too young) For all of that stuff But what do they know about fallin’ in love? (Too young) too young for loving, (too young) For kissing and hugging (too young) Enough is enough But why can’t they see that we’ve fallen in love? (Too young) to know how it feels, (too young) To know what it means yes we’re (too young) For all of that stuff But what do they know about fallin’ in love?

about

Only available in digital format!!!

“Jukebox Romance” was the debut of Joe Moore, which is to say, of THE YEARNING, one of the most promising and passionate groups in recent years for Elefant Records: their sixties echoes full of marvelous melodies and prodigious details, their absolutely adorable vocal arrangements, and their sweet and candid female voices all captivated us immediately and irrevocably.

That’s why we’re celebrating THE YEARNING’s new release, a digital single that opens with one of the best songs from “Jukebox Romance”, “Baby Be Mine”, a song that finds itself somewhere between THE MARVELETTES and THE PARIS SISTERS, with doo-wop details and soul-pop spirit. “All Hung Up On You”, the first of the single’s previously unreleased tracks, is like the missing piece from Phil Spector’s Christmas album – dreamy, full of marvelous arrangements, exciting and breathtaking. “Too Young”, another previously unreleased song, is one of those songs that breaks your heart forever, where they sing of adolescent love and the passing of time that chips away at the innocence of those first pure feelings we’re so nostalgic for. And the song does it as well as Dusty Springfield and Jackie DeShannon could have back in their day, winning us over with class, elegance and the strength of their performance.

It seems like Joe Moore is someone who’s going to make us very happy in the coming years. We are impatiently waiting for his new release before the end of summer. In the meantime, we can keep on enjoying the small gems of his musical craftwork.
